Computer Hardware, Embedded & Cyber Physical Systems, Robotics වගේ වැඩ වලදි, Practical Projects කරද්දී University එකේ තිබුණ ලොකුම අඩුව තමා ඒවාට ඕන කරන හරිම Tools, Equipment, Resources හොයාගන්න එක.
MakerSpace කියන්නේ නමින් ම කියවෙන විදිහට අළුත් දේවල් නිර්මාණය කරන්න අවශ්‍ය සියළුම පහසුකම් සපයන තැනක්. දන්න තරමින් ලංකාවේ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයක ආරම්භ වෙන පලවෙනි University MakerSpace Lab එක.
As named as MakerSpace, it is a place that helps to build new things and support innovations. As I know this is the first-ever university MakerSpace lab.
2020 අගෝස්තු වල ඉදලා අවුරුදු එක හමාරකටත් වැඩි කාලයක් තිස්සේ සැලසුම් කරලා, පොඩිම කොටසේ ඉදලා හැමදේම අවශ්‍යතාව අනුව, ඕන කෙනෙක්ට ලේසියෙන් හොයාගන්න පුළුවන් වෙන විදිහට ස්ථානගත කරලා, මාස 9 කට වඩා කාලයක්, කොටසින් කොටස Design, Assembly, 3D Print කරලා මේ විදිහට සම්පූර්ණ කරන්න ලැබුණු එක ගැන සෑහෙන්න සතුටුයි. මේකේදි පාවිච්චි කරපු design decisions ගැන නම් වෙනම පොතක් ලියන්න පුළුවන්.
It took nearly one and half years to design everything from scratch, 9 months of assembling piece by piece. It can be written a book on all the design decisions I have considered while designing this.
Original Plan එකේ තිබුණ දේවල් 100%ක් ම සම්පූර්ණ කරගන්න බැරි වුණත්, Economy crisis and Import Restrictions වගේ බාධක ගොඩක් පහු කරන් 75% කට වඩා සම්පූර්ණ කරගන්න පුළුවන් වුණ එක ලොකු දෙයක්.
Due to Economy crisis and import restrictions, we were not able to bring 100% of whatever we expected. But happy to do at least 75% of whatever have in the original plan.
මීළඟ අදියර විදිහට AR/VR පහසුකම් එක්ක නිර්මාණය වෙන Smart Inventory Management system එකත්, QR Code වලින් වැඩ කරන Usage Manual එකත් නිර්මාණය කරන ගමන්.

ස්තූතියි කරන්න ඕන අයගේ ලැයිස්තුව සෑහෙන්න දිගයි. කීපදෙනෙක් විතරක් නම්කරන්නම්.
- Dr. Isuru Nawinne, Prof. Roshan Ragel, Dr. Kamalanath Samarakoon ඇතුළු academic staff එක. මේ වගේ ලොකු වගකීමක් බාර දීලා, සැලසුම් කරන්න සම්පූර්ණ නිදහස දුන්නාට ගොඩක් ස්තූතියි.
- හැම විදිහකින්ම උදව් කරපු Bandara Wasundara, Hemantha, Anuradha, Priyangani Samarathunga, … ඇතුළු Department Academic Support Staff එක
- Tables, Furniture නිර්මාණය කරගන්න සහයෝගය දුන්න Engineering Workshop එකේ සහ University Maintenance එකේ සියළුම කාර්යමණ්ඩලය
- Dilshani Karunarathne සෑහෙන උදව් කලා Assembly වැඩ වලදි.
- E15 Batch එකේ සහෝදර සහෝදරියෝ, අත්‍යාවශ්‍ය අමුද්‍රව්‍ය සහ උපකරණ මිලදීගන්න මුල්‍යමය වශයෙන් ලොකු සහයෝගයක් දුන්නා.
