Nuwan Jaliyagoda

This is a voluntary project I have been working on, building an Open API Portal for the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Peradeniya. It offers a collection of openly accessible APIs that students can use to build applications and services around the Department’s activities and data.

The portal is built entirely on features provided by GitHub: the site itself is generated with Jekyll, and scheduled GitHub Actions collect data daily from department websites, including projects.ce.pdn.ac.lk and people.ce.pdn.ac.lk, keeping every endpoint up to date without any dedicated server infrastructure.

The APIs published here power various department applications and websites, allowing them to generate up-to-date content and information from a single, consistent source. The portal is live at api.ce.pdn.ac.lk, and the source code is available on GitHub.
