Plastic, and in particular single-use plastic shopping bags, are a major environmental concern. Our goal was to introduce a creative method to reduce the use of polythene bags among people by introducing an attractive rewarding system. We proposed an API platform to reward customers with ‘mobile data’ when they bring their own reusable bags when shopping.

    We were able to be the winner of the Environment and Sustainability category and also be the Overall Most Innovative Idea of the Hackathon.
